Lime crime - AQUATÆNIA PALETTE

Loads of people had recommended Lime crime makeup to me as a makeup artist due to the intensely highly pigmented shades as well as fantastic longevity of the products and best of all its cruelty free, never tested on animals and vegan friendly!

Firstly I was amazed at how beautifully packaged the item was! Inside of the box is printed with company logo and funky polka dots, fluorescent yellow tissue paper wrapped neatly around the palette and finally the best part! The palette it's self! Don't think I've ever been as excited about trying out a new product as I was this one the colours are gorgeous and their names are equally as amazing

- top to bottom -
ATLANTEAL, PEARL-PLE, SEAHORSE DISCLOSURE, CORAL OF THE STORY, NAUTILUS PRIME

I would recommend this brand to anyone seeking highly pigmented long lasting colour it's amazing!

Keep a look out for photos of my next photoshoot ill be sure to use this product!!

Fantastic And Very busy few weeks!

Fantastic And Very busy few weeks!

Well! lots has happened in the last few weeks Friday I had a studio day for vintage bridal and fashion which was so much fun as well as a few cheeky headshots of my self for my blog and makeup page!
The official photos of the shoot will be up in a few days time, it was a really good chance for me to get some bridal makeup done (which I normally hate) as well as my favourite brightly coloured fashion makeup! :) so the shoot on Friday lasted a little longer than first thought what was originally supposed to be a 4 hour shoot ended up being 9 hours! most people have a misconception of makeup artistry being a  really glamorous and fun job which at times I can be but also there's a lot of waiting around running around for the photographer and model altering the makeup mid shoot if something looks off place on camera, most of which I never thought I would be doing before I got into the industry!

Ive also done a CK inspired photoshoot which I am still waiting on the edited images to arrive back! this must of been the most stressful photoshoot ever! morning of the shoot and we didn't have enough ribbon! the main focus of the shoot was the ribbon so myself and the photographer took a trip to Victoria market to find some! 45 mins later we finally found what were looking for, so off the studio we went and proceeded to tie the models up with ribbons (their patience was amazing!) once I upload the photos you shall all know what its all about! :)

June 2013 Makeup Run To London!!

Well! 4am arrives and me and MissPennyDreadful only having about an hours sleep between us struggles to apply makeup and make ourselves look visibly acceptable! Our coach left Nottingham Broadmarsh at 5.40am sleep was on the cards for us as we both looked as though we had been dragged out a graveyard backwards!!

Choccy Woccy Doodahs!
WOW! all these stunning cakes are made entirely from chocolate! we spoke to the lady behind the counter and she explained how all cakes are made to order and ranging from £1,500 all the way up to £15,000! They have amazing and unique designs and can honestly say I was blown away!

Ripley's believe it or not
This was such fun! next time in London I really need to do the tour, we was only in there a matter of minutes before me and Penny was reduced to giggles! I wonder what happened to the man with 3 legs and 2 penises?!!

Touristy Stuff :)
You cannot go to London without seeing some of the sights!
My favourite thing was possibly at the crossing, they have a horse button so when the police are on horse back they can push the button and wait for the green horse to safely cross the road!

FINALLY onto the makeup! =D

Absolutely LOVE Illamasqua! This was my first experience of Illamasqua in a shop rather than online, I was like a kid in a candy store just didn't know what to look at first! I've been looking for a new foundation for a while now but been unsure of what brand to try so when the makeup artist talked me through the range of foundations and recommended I tried 'Skin Base' and gave me a quick demo I fell in love, this foundation suits my skin perfectly and its easy to build the coverage from light to heavy and feels like I'm wearing nothing!
Also The Paranormal range they have is gorgeous, the colours are highly pigmented and also the eye shadow palette is made up of a silicon based shadow which makes it long lasting and water resistant!

I also got some MAC Chromographic Liners which also double up as amazing lip liners! Lip Mix in blue, black and white, paint sticks in pink and blue!
I still have a list as long as my arm of products I want to get and have a play with so another makeup run in August is in order! here is a couple of snaps of the lip mix's I used the chromographic liner as lip liner then filled the inner with the lip mix :)

Sorry About the Awful picture quality!

Also mixed into our very long and busy day we was invited to the Irish Embassy for a Fashion event which was by Irish Designers, it was my first time at one of these events and I love it! was really good to socialise with some lovely people and see some of the garments they had created :)

This photo sums up how I was feeling after walking god knows how many miles and running on hardly any sleep! we left penny's house at 5am and arrived back at Penny's at 12am so after a 19 hour day of travelling and roaming round the capital city I was more than ready for bed!

Newbie :)

Where to start?!.. Well my names Dee Im 21 and a newly qualified Makeup artist, I love all aspects of makeup, but the one thing i love most is special effects makeup! The more horrific it looks the better =D I also do more mainstream stuff such as fashion, commercial, bridal and fantasy. Ill give anything a go once.

These are a couple of photos from my first special effects photoshoot I ever did
Photographer - Jason Wright of Silent Studios/wright photography
Model - Clare Abbott
This was an on location shoot in a derelict RAF base just off the A46
We ploughed through the mud and woodland till we finally rolled up at the doors there was rubble and broken glass covering the floor aswell as it being fairly cold being the end of october, needless to say it was a fantastic day and amazing experience working with the team!

These ones are from a collaboration I did with my best friend and fellow makeup enthusiast and GAGA impersonator
Isabeau Bently, also the photographer Anjum Asnphotography is a good friend of mine and most definitely couldnt of pulled any of the GAGA shoots off without Anjums Creative imput :)

This is from a photoshoot i did for Ferox Clothing with to amazing models
Photographer - Dan Lord/Forecast Designs
Female model - Teya Simone
Male Model - Amal Birch
They were taken at Podders Scrap Yard in Nottingham when it freezing cold not that you can tell the models did great!

Another awesome shot of the lovely Isabeau Bentley!
picture 5 people stood in the woods at about 11pm, One(Me) with a bag of confetti, one(Isabeau) in a latex dress and welly boots holding an umberella, one(Dan Brand) creating a fire for light and warmth, Dan Lord(forecast Designs) armed with his camera and damien Mcgoven holding lights and general moral support, as you can imagen it seemed like something out a horror movie as it was all pitch black and very creepy, especially when we started about who was going to get killed off first and of course it was me being stood on the bridge on my own!
